Criteria for Two Mile Ash ITT Graduate Teacher Programme
Below are characteristics that Two Mile Ash ITT Partnership will be looking for in potential candidates
Essential
- Degree qualification (Hons preferable but not mandatory) / Equivalent
- GCSE or O-Level Maths, English and Science at grade C or above / Equivalent
- Experience in a UK primary classroom (a minimum of 10 days but greater experience will strengthen application)
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read effectively
- Clean Criminal Record
- Good Health
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of primary education – National Curriculum, Primary Frameworks, current educational initiatives
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of the primary teacher
- ICT competency
- Personal Qualities – the abilities to:
- Work on own initiative and manage workload
- Work and study
- Work co-operatively and effectively with colleagues
- Build relationships with children that promote learning
- Interest and enjoyment of working with children
- Interests that would enhance children’s learning experiences
- Willingness to implement / promote equal opportunities
- Determination to achieve QTS
- Willingness to seek employment in the local area
